Weakness/flaw/ Fear/phobia: He takes the loss of a patient very hard, and unfortunately his grouchy act often keeps others from getting close enough to see how it bothers him.
History: Tawny and Boxer were an inseparable pair as leverets and lot of woodlanders would take them for brothers at first glance, in reality they were cousins. Both taught in the art of foot- fighting Boxton Brookswift (boxer for short) went on to be taught the 2nd of a hare’s traditional fighting styles (boxing) however Tawny’s front paws were judged to be too delicate for the sport and he was apprenticed to the local healer.
As seasons passed everyone continued to admire the closeness of the pair and until one fateful night no one expected a that the pair of charming hare-lads were actually hiding something.
When barely 6 seasons old Tawny and Boxer had been cornered by a large frog, it had just announced its attentions to eat them and the pair decided to fight back. What neither the frog or either hare expected was for Boxer’s eyes to turn solid red, with an unearthly howl he advanced on the villan fists swinging so fast they were just a blur. The frog ran for it and the mad hare chased it for almost 4 miles, Boxer would probably have chased it more but Tawny tripped him causing his head to slam into a tree and for boxer to fall unconscious. Tawny spent all night in the woods hovering over Boxer wondering if when he came around would it be his friend who returned from the dark forest or that possessed monster.
Boxer recovered just fine and the pair hid his affliction although it emerged from time to time when they were threatened. As they got older the pair realized the only thing that could get through to “fighting” Boxer was the threat of what the older Tawny would do if he injured himself. They also heard stories of a Abby and a Fortress across the sea, This Abbey was home to great healers and the Fortress Guarded by brave hares and mighty badgers. Many stories featured creatures with a similar affliction to Boxer and the pair vowed to one day travel and find the cure
When they were 12 seasons old a local rat chieftain got brave, took 9 of his warriors and attacked the village. Everyone was rounded up and about to be slaughtered when the anger took Boxer again with a fury that was frightening he set upon the rats. Of course Tawny, his father and uncle also joined in but by the end of the fight one rat lay dying and the rest were already slain. The village was a peaceful place, in habited by gentle folk, and those who had once praised Boxer for his charm and courage now could not bring themselves to live with a murderer. Boxer was forced to leave but as usual Tawny went with him, they hopped on a merchant ship who agreed to take them if they lent a hand.
For the next 6 seasons the pair traveled up and down the southern coast fighting vermin and aiding the injured as they tried to find the Abbey and a cure. In the abovementioned fight with a pirate fox and his crew Tawny was injured and when he recovered he learned that Boxer had gone berserk when Tawny had fallen, The mad hare had killed the most of the pirates and saved the village but died of wounds he received. The villagers who knew the value of a good warrior made a wooden statue with a grand shield and gave Boxer an honorable burial.
In the meantime Tawny has continued to seek the legendary places, too late to save his friend he wants to be able to help anyone else afflicted by this curse.
