Silver Sweetfur walked boldy through the woods. The young hare maid was out on her own and ready for any adventure that came her way... or she had been at dawn that day, now the sky, or what she could see of it was starting to darken and silver was searching for some shelter now as she walked.
Just as Silver was starting to think she would have to camp out in the open the hare maid caught sight of a red sandstone wall and a door. pushing it open revealed a large hallway with stairs at one end and a large tapestry on the walls. Drawn toward the mouse figure still vibrant after many long seasons of exposure, Silver found herself curling up and falling asleep without a second thought.

Goldenheart The golden cat wandered hopelessly through the woods, He had been wandering and had come off the path but had not realized until he was far from the path. He sighed and shivered, Night was falling and there was an unusual chill in the air. One that went right down to his bones. With a grunt, Goldenheart jumped onto a fallen log and observed the area around him with keen green eyes. His gold ears flicked in the direction of a hare maid that was traveling in the eastern direction and as the natural curiosity took hold of him he jumped lithely from her perch and began to follow behind her. He lost sight of the hare for a bit but found where her scent came to and he peered round the door. He caught sight of her curled up in a ball and so he quietly padded into the building as well. His quiet paw steps made hardly any noise but stirred up dust and sand from the walls. Gasping quietly at the amazing tapestry Goldenheart accidentally inhaled some dust and it sent him into a bout of rather loud sneezes. That not only woke the hare but also brought him to the attention of a rather large eagle owl. Skylander Skylander beat her strong wings as she hovered above the tree line, She had just spotted some food, But unfortunately some gold colored cat decided to scare it off with his rather loud footsteps. Cooing in annoyance she flew off toward the shelter she had found earlier today. Her brown and tan feathers whistled through the air as she promptly folded in her wings and let herself dive toward the ground. Counting the seconds she unfolded the and landed smoothly on the ground, She nibbled her wing for a second before taking to the air again. The dark didn't bother her, It was the opposite to non-nocturnal animals and was rather soothing and relaxing for her. Swooping in to the building she had just landed and was about to relax when footsteps disturbed her and she looked down from the rafters of the building. A young hare had just hopped in and after looking around had fall asleep curled up in a tight ball. Then that odd gold colored tom cat paced into the room and looked around before inhaling in shock and the beautiful tapestry and sneezing rather loudly. Obtaining the attention of the now awake hare.

As Skylander made herself comfortable in the wooden rafters of the cracked and aged stonework, she failed to notice another being had made its home there some hours ago. As day gave way to evening, the brown-furred bat unfurled its leathery wings and yawned, a light squeaking noise that bounced off the walls and returned the shape of his surroundings to the genetic radar built into his sensory array.
“Goody, visitors-visitors!” chirped the bat, repeating the last word as the rest of his species were prone to doing. He flapped his long, thin digits and righted himself on the rafters, but one sight of the large owl gave him such a surprise that he toppled off. If not for a saving flap of his wings that helped him glide safely to a wooden dado rail reaching around the perimeter of the room. He looked at the others gathered on the floor, a large gold cat and a hare-maiden.
“Big visitors-visitors,” he squeaked, “most unexpected but then, I should have expected that, eh-eh?” He did not seem to mind if nobody was listening or not. Talking aloud gave him a good idea of the area surrounding him.

Dreams were odd things, even at the best of times. The one Silver found herself in now was especially so. She still stood in the room where she had fallen asleep but now the tapestry shone with new splendor, all the images crisp and visible. The pile of rubble along the wall were now fully repaired doorways out of which woodland creatures ran about their lives at triple speed not even acknowledging the hare in their midst. “Silver…” A voice behind the hare maid caused her to jump and spin around. There behind her stood a mouse in warrior’s armor.
“Right, old chap. What can I do for you?” Silver said as she stood at attention. Her ears twitched nervously. This mouse was a bit creepy but as the other creatures were still dashing about behind her the situation dictated nothing was normal about all this
“Redwall…rebuild.”
“Redwall? Now look here, you don’t mean to tell me I’ve actually found the bloody place?! Thought it was all just a legend!”
“When evil stalks across the land, The Brave as a force for Good must stand, Rebuild these walls and seek my blade, Offer help to all and stand, By promises made”
“All right… but I don’t suppose you could clarify that a bit …?” The warrior mouse opened his mouth to respond, but before he could say more the dream began to fade.

Skylander let out an unusual squawk as the bat unfurled itself, Fluttering a flew steps away she cocked her head to the side and watched the bat as he toppled off. Sighing she stretched her own wings and stepped from the rafter she had been resting on. The air caught her wings and she beat them twice before landing on the same railing the bat was on.
"Hello," She greeted them quietly, Her voice soft but powerful. "I am Skylander, You may call me Sky. Who are you?" She asked, Fluttering her brown and tan flecked wings so she was slightly more comfortable on her perch.
Goldenheart lay his audits flat against his head, Puffing up his fur he spun to confront the squeaky voice but a softer, yet powerful voice stopped him from launching an attack.
"I am Goldenheart, I hail from the northwest clan known a Lionclan." He rumbled in a rugged, deep voice. Smoothing his fur, he smoothed out his toga styled clothes and straightened the belt around his waist and tugged his quiver and bow into a more comfortable position.
"It is nice to meet you Sky." He nodded a greeting to the eagle owl and turned his piercing green gaze to the maiden hare curled up next to him who was muttering and seemed to be waking up. Padding back a couple of steps he sat down and pulled out his dagger before reaching over his shoulder and pulling out a worn and dirty piece of cloth.
When he was nervous or agitated Goldenheart would clean his silver dagger, Thus the sharp tool was never less than sparkling. Even if it had been used recently.

“You all sound like the actors in a play, you know that-that?” the bat chirped in a teasing manner. “By now I should be bored of introducing myself, the amount of times I’ve had to do so-so. Still, like all bats I suppose I just love the sweet sound of my own silky voice-voice.”
He spread his wings out to their full span and declared proudly, like a thespian drinking in the attention of a wrapt audience, “I am C. Roland Scholomang, son of the Great B. Tom Scholomang, court wizard to the Squirrel King of Southsward, travelling illusionist and enchanter extraordinaire, at your service-service!”
He quickly added with an odd, oily slant to his tones, “Thank you…thank you very much-much.”

Finally fully awake and trying to shake off the weird déjà vu feeling that washed through her when she locked eyes with the tapestry, Silver took note of the gathered creatures.
“Dreadfully rude of me,” she gave a polite bow to the assembled. “Silver Sweetfur, and I hail from the high warren on the western downs.” The hare maid looked from one to the next… were these the Brave the riddle had spoken of? “Might any of you have heard tell of Redwall Abbey?”

Goldenheart chuckled at the bat's 'performance', Turning his head he caught a glimse of the tapestry and smiled. Slipping the dagger back into it's case he tied the cloth around the strap of his belt and turned to watch the hare introduce herself and then proceed to ask a question.
"Of course!" He scoffed, "Who hasn't?" He smirked and rolled his eyes.
Skylander glared at the gold cat and let out an annoyed squawk, "I haven't thank you very much." She ruffled her feathers and then turned her gaze away from Goldenheart and toward Silver Sweetfur.
"Would you care to tell me about this, Redwall Abbey?" She smiled and shuffled on her perch again before becoming still and watching the other animals in curiosity.

“Ah! Redwall Abbey,” Roland mused, “a place of legend amongst Woodlanders, I’ve heard much about it during my travels-travels. Very bloody, you know-know. All sieges and swords and heroism, sagas of the brave, bold and quite frankly mad-mad. It was my visions that told me to seek it out-out. Visions that stopped when I arrived here not but one night ago-ago.”
He fluttered down from the dado rail and took a few steps across the dusty floor, the sharp talons of his feet causing light clickety-click sounds on the hard stone. “Yet, I do not think I am the only one who has been contacted by such an occurence-occurence.” He eyed each of them in turn; the owl, the cat, then finally the hare. “I can see you’re all thinking about whether to admit it, so be honest-honest. I am smarter than the average bat and can tell these sort of things-things.”
He turned his gaze to the tapestry and could almost swear the figure it bore was breathing in its own otherworldly way. “Yes, I remember you from my own dreams especially,” Roland tittered, “and your riddles-riddles.”

“The honorable Scholomang is correct,” Silver squinted her eyes and for a second the walls of the room once again were pristine,
“the rabbits back home told many tales, not much else to do in winter when you can’t farm in the cold. But out of all the stories it’s the ones about Redwall I remember most… and if I’m right this is that place.”
Silver walked over to a window and looked out into the incredibly thick forest beyond. In the fading light one could see fruit hanging from the trees, had it once been an orchard? From the window she turned and stared at one of the rubble piles.
“I wonder… could it be possible to rebuild it all?”

Goldenheart glowered back at the owl before wiping the dark expression off his face and turning to the other animals. "Of course. We should gather recruits and get started soon. It is almost heart-breaking to find the legendary Red wall Abbey in such poor condition." He sighed, and shook his head.
Skylander looked at Roland and Silver Sweetfur, "Wow," She said, Her eyes wide after she had listened to them tell her about Red wall Abbey. "I'll help. This place is amazing so I wonder what it looked like when it was brand new." She smiled and joined the others on the floor.
"Where will we find more 'recruits' willing to help us?" She asked, Her yellow eyes turning thoughtful as she gazed around the room.

“Is it not simple-simple? Is it not obvious to you what we must do now-now?!” Roland squeaked with excitement building in his voice. He lunged at Skylander and clung to the sides of her head, his snout pressed up against the downward curve of her beak in a manner that was almost comical.
“We must go out into the world and spread the news that the stories of Redwall Abbey are to continue into a new aeon-aeon! The burning Empyrean wherein the warrior mouse resides shines in conjunction with prophetic Aaru and the answers spring from the magick-giving Mag Mell-Mell!”
He paused, considered what he had just said, then let go of the owl’s face to walk amongst his companions. Clickety-click, clickety-click went the bat’s talons.
He continued in a much calmer fashion, “To linguistic purists who don’t understand a word I’m shrieking, we happy four have come from our various walks of life to this one spot, this one moment in time, because something summoned us here for a purpose-purpose. And perhaps that purpose is to rebuild the sanctuary that this place once offered to all and sundry, but a sanctuary requires that we work towards filling it with souls who seek it-it. We four could be the new masters - and mistresses, of course - of Redwall Abbey, opening the doors into a bright new future-future.”
He finished with a flourish of his wings, “So, why don't we start by going out into the forest and finding any lost souls who happen to wander near-near? The more hands we have, the better our progress in rebuilding this place-place.”

Silver jumped back in surprise at his sudden highly animated behavior
“Steady on, old chap. One, if you are correct then won’t the required help, in theory come to us?” Silver strode over from the window to a rubble pile which she climbed trying to peer through a small gap at the top. All she could tell was that the area beyond sloped downward.
“We would need a place to house and feed us and any comrades we gain, Army marches on its stomach, and all that.” She paused testing a few rocks near the top, Roland was also right it could take days for her and Goldenheart to clear the debris. “Though more paws would make it all faster”

Skylander froze as the bat attached himself to her face, She stared at him with curiosity in her eyes as he proceeded to preach to them. Once he had finished and detached from her face she moved toward the pile of rubble that Silver Sweetfur was on and fluttered up to the top. "Why don't you and Goldenheart start moving things? I'll go scout the area for somewhere to stay that hopefully isn't too far and Roland, If you don't mind, Could go out and show any comrades or help the way to us?" She suggested, Cocking her head to the side as she smiled down at Silver before flying down to the floor again.
Goldenheart nodded, "That's fine with me, We'll need supplies though. Any idea where we could get some?" He asked, Looking around at the creatures that were now his comrades and friends.

“The search begins-begins!” Roland declared dramatically, then with a flap of his wings he was gliding away from the ruined Abbey, soon shifting from simply letting the wind convey him to taking control of it utterly, carrying himself through a looping manoeuvre in mid-air before vanishing into the shadows with a final, excitable sonic squeak.
