Silver nodded to Roland and wished him good luck, then she turned back to Goldenheart.
"From what I heard, in the old days the place was pretty much self sufficient. Now i know its gone wild but I bet we could scrounge up some rations from that tangle that used to be an orchard and garden. Also buried in there somewhere is a pond with fish, if memory serves.”
She paused and then dug through her pack “Other than that I am down to my last loaf of bread and a small bag of candied fruit”

Goldenheart nodded, "Okay, Well. If I get started on this pile of rubble then can you start trying to find the pond and all the other supplied you can get?" He asked, Moving forward.
After despositing his bow and arrow on the dusty staircase, he moved toward the pile of rubble and nimbly climbed to the top. Blowing away all the smaller pieces and dust, Goldenheart began to pick up and throw the rocks onto the floor. They would have to clear the pile and then start to rebuild it.
The golden tom was soon covered from head to toe in rock dust and other disgusting things. He sometimes used his claws to pick away at the stuff that kept the rocks together and then he would have to pull and heave at the larger stones and lumps of rock.
He was doing quite well until half way through the pile he didn't move his paw quick enough and... "YEEEEOUCH!" Came the cry from his maw, Tears welled in his green eyes and he tugged his paw from between the grip of two large stones. Goldenheart limped down the rubble pile and sat down, holding his paw carefully as he did so. His right front paw was now red and throbbing slightly. The tom had acciedentally trapped his paw between to large and rather heavy stones.

Skylander nodded breifly to the other animals before spreading her two large brown and tan speckled wings and taking to the skies.

“Righto” and with that the hare maid dashed off around the back of the building once their she began inspecting the plants for fruit and vegetables, humming aloud to herself as she went along.
She found a tree with apples… not ready yet… then Silver found a tree well hung with ripe golden pears and next to it was a deep pond, though actually it was closer to a lake. The blue water was dark and Silver couldn’t see the bottom. As she gathered the fruit she thought she noticed another wall and a door set in it. But before she could she heard Goldenheart yell, grabbing some pears she hurried back to see what trouble the cat had gotten into.

Goldenheart blinked back the tears of pain as the hare maid dashed through the doors carrying some ripe pears. He cleared his throat and smiled at her sheepishly, "I, Uh, Managed to drop a stone on my paw. I think I'll be okay, I don't think it's broken. Just badly squashed." He grinned and tried to make a joke.
He sighed and looked down at him throbbing paw, Trying to examine it further but soon gave up as he had no expertise in caring for wounds. If he was hurt in the wild he would've stood absolutely no chance in surviving, even if it was only a small cut.

Siler knelt next to the friendly cat and took a look herself.
“Maybe, Maybe not old chap. Can you move it? I was always told if you cold then you had nothing to worry about.” Picking up one of the pears she had brought in the haremaid inspected the progress Goldenheart had made. A beast her size would probably be able to get through with some extra effort, Silver took a bite and swallowed.
“Not bad. If I can get through here and we get a lamp or torch I could help you shift some of this from the otherside” took another bite and thought “there’s a lake outside if you want to soak that paw and possibly another way into the Abbey proper… considering the proximity I would wager the kitchens” the hare maid gave the tom cat a grin. “that will be a welcome comfort when the cold weather comes, wot?”

Goldenheart smiled, "Oh, Yes. That would be good. I can move my paw, It's just kinda sore. I assumed that there is a pear tree near the lake?" He chuckled and stood. The gold tom bent down and picked up a pear in his good paw before joining Silver Sweetfur where she stood near the pile of rubble.
"hmm... Yes I suppose it would make most sense. We may want to wait until the others get back before we even try to get you the other side of this as we don't want it to collapse and you to only have me for help." He said, Throwing the pear up into the air and catching it again before taking a large chomp from the sweet fruit.

Silver also smiled and helped herself to the last pear she had brought in.
“right on the nose old bean, but we might want to hurry and harvest them when the others get back, autumn is getting on fast and they wont be ripe much longer” the haremaid paused then grinned again.
“of course that just mean we get apples, Come on you great lump lets get you too that lake!” with a surprising amount of energy silver hopped up to a standing position and stretched out a paw to the golden Tom. “once your paw is tip top maybe we can check that door, wot?”

Goldenheart smiled, "Yes, Ma'am." He nodded and grasped her outstretched paw before following her to the lake.

Skylander sighed as she landed in front of the others. "Righto! This is our stop. Silver and Goldenheart should be somewhere around here." She told them, Fluttering her wings into a more comfortable position as she walked into the main room.
Fire cast a wary glance toward the other mammals. She wasn't too sure of them but for the moment they were her friends, "Perhaps once they've finished whatever they're doing we can sit down and get to know each other? I don't know about you but I prefer to know something about the company I keep." The black squirrell cast an expectant glance toward the others before jumping as a heavy paw was placed on her shoulder. A deep chuckle sounded as Goldenheart removed his paw from the small squirrell's shoulder.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to make you jump. I'm Goldenheart, That is Silver Sweetfur." He told them, Nodding his large head as he sat down. He and Silver had finished up rather quickly by the lake and were headed over to the pile of rubble when the other's arrived.

“Well that gets those introductions out of the way-way,” said Roland, finding some small amusement in Fire’s jumpy reaction to the cat. He used the claw of his free wing to gesture to the baby mouse who served as a means of keeping him and Tyko bound at the wrist. “I say our first bit of business should be to find somewhere to pop this little chap before we gentlemen find ourselves enfettered for life-life.” He adjusted the trapped wing to keep Scamp from suffering a sharp drop to the abbey floor.

Halting with the others, Tyko understood that this was their destination. His head tipped back as he gazed up and up, taking in the towering ruins of scarlet stone. There could be no doubt; this definitely was the fabled Redwall Abbey, or at least it had been, once. Now it was an abandoned mess; but judging by the number of strangers here, and signs of recently shifted rubble, it was clear that there were plans of rebuilding. Despite the edifice's decline, the otter felt awed by its presence. "Never in my life did I ever think I'd see this," he murmured in wonder, "Ma always said it was just a story."
Snapping out of his reverie, Tyko nodded towards Roland. "Righto, matey, take no offense but I'm not too keen on being stuck to ye for the rest of eternity." As the bat moved his wing, Tyko scooped the mousebabe into his own arms, setting him down in a thick clump of soft grass. He would probably awake soon, as they had walked for some time, but there was no point in waking him up prematurely, so best to let him sleep within sight and reach. Looking up, the otter keenly observed the approaching beasts, a sweet-looking haremaid and a cat. Tyko had never met a cat before, though he'd been told they could be ferocious creatures; nonetheless, this one looked friendly enough. "Nice to meet ye, mate," he addressed Goldenheart, "I'm Tyko Streambar... this snoozing rascal is Scamp."

Silver chuckled when she saw the Babe had Roland and the otter captive, even though it was easily remedied the sight was amusing. Still she nodded a greeting to Roland and Skylander before shaking paws with Tyko and Fire
“Allways glad to meet new creatures, you can just call me Silver… So that’s Scamp, does the little mite live up to his name?” the haremaid asked… then paused “ and who exactly is his keeper?” was there another mouse who had just fallen behind? Silver hoped not something was abroad in the woods she could sense it, Things were too still as if all of nature were holding its breath. She didn’t dwell on that for long though figuring out which part of the abbey was habitable was more important especially since now they had a little one.
“Goldenheart did a top job and managed to shift some rubble recently, not quite done but one of us might be able to work our way through. Also I just found another door in the outer wall, since both fresh water and the gardens are nearby I would guess the kitchen, not a bad place to make camp if they are mostly intact, wot?”

Goldenheart smiled and nodded hello to the others as he padded toward the still large pile of rubble and such. The gold tom leaped up to the top and peered down at the others. After sizing up the hole and looking over the other beings he leapt down to the floor again and landed in a crouch. "Well, The hole is relatively big, But unfortunatly not big enough for me or Silver. I think Fire could go down and have enough room not to be stuck, but of course it is indeed her choice." He told them casting a glace around the room before landing on the pile of rubble again.
Fire nodded and skittered up the pile of rubble, She looked at the hole and smirked. "I can get down there easy peasy, No need to move anymore rubble." She called back down to them, Grinning widely at the prospect of another adventure.

"You bet your rudder he does," Tyko chuckled in answer to Silver's question, "Little bugger grabbed onto me and never let me go." He paused, remembering the mouse they had left in the woods. Poor Scamp, he had been through quite a lot for such a young age... but perhaps it was better that way. The young forget quickly; he still had a chance at a happy childhood. "I'm his keeper for now," Tyko said firmly. He had grown attached to the little babe, and was reluctant to hand him over to someone else. But perhaps it would be better that way; Scamp probably needed a foster mamma, some sort of matriarch to raise him properly. Tyko could fill role of big brother, or uncle perhaps, but he had no clue how to raise young 'uns.
Shrugging, the otter decided to deal with that later. Instead, he peered at the hole the others had created. Yup, definitely too small for him; otters were fairly large creatures after all, and though he was nothing like his brother Rugg, he certainly wasn't the runt of the litter, so to speak. But when the time came to move more rubble, he would certainly be willing to assist.
